School policies
Driver Training and Administrative Policy Statement
Practical Lessons
One student only and the instructor are allowed in training vehicles during the lessons. Students will receive actual behind-the-wheel training for the scheduled length of lessons with the exception of initial demonstration driving and record keeping time by their instructors. Convenient at home, school or work pick up for lessons is provided.
Late Cancellation Fee
$75.00 will be charged for not showing up for a scheduled lesson appointment.
Notice to cancel or change a scheduled lesson appointment must given by the student or parent at least 2 full business days in advance in order to avoid late fees.
Road Tests
Use of training vehicle for road test is included only with certain lesson packages. For public safety and liability reasons, students may only take their road tests when they are ready, safe and able to demonstrate confident driving habits.
Notice to keep, change or cancel an existing ICBC driver’s test appointment must be received by the school at least 5 business days in advance.
ICBC does not allow changing a road test appointment within 48 hours from the scheduled time. If a student fails to attend a road test appointment, ICBC will apply a $25.00 charge to the license-holder’s account. This fee will be in addition to any road test fees.
ICBC Road-Test and Licensing Fees
Class 7 road test to get an N licence: $35.00
Upon passing Class 7 road test, N licence issue fee: $75.00
Fees are payable directly to ICBC by the students at the time of their road test.
Course Fee Payments
Course fees are required to be paid prior to starting any lessons.
Payments are accepted by email money transfer sent to visions@live.ca, or cheque/cash ready at the first session. Convenient partial payment options are available on some driver education courses. Course fees are refundable for unused portion of training only, less any no-show/late cancellation fees and bank service charges. Not Sufficient Funds (NSF) returned cheques are subject to a $75.00 administration fee by the school and all other applicable penalties by the student's financial institution.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are required to be prepaid prior to delivery.
No refunds issued on gift certificates.
